Fix connections to Bluetooth audio devices and wireless displays

Bluetooth audio

If pressing the Connect button in action center doesn’t find your device, try this:

Make sure your Windows device supports Bluetooth and that it’s turned on. You’ll see a Bluetooth button in action center.

Make sure that the Bluetooth-enabled audio device is on and discoverable. How you do this varies with devices, so check the info that came with your device or go to the manufacturer’s website.

Miracast devices

If pressing the Connect button in action center doesn’t find your device, try this:

  • Make sure your Windows device supports Miracast by checking the info that came with it or by going to the manufacturer’s website.
  • Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on.
  • Make sure the display you want to project to supports Miracast and that it’s turned on. If it doesn’t, you’ll need a Miracast adapter (sometimes called a “dongle”) that plugs into an HDMI port.

WiGig devices

If pressing the Connect button in action center doesn’t find your device, try this:

  • Make sure your Windows device supports WiGig and is turned on. If your PC supports WiGig, you’ll see a WiGig button in Settings > Airplane mode.
  • Make sure the display supports WiGig. If it doesn’t, you’ll need a WiGig dock.

    1. I SUSPECT THAT SOME PART OF THE REGISTRY GOT OVER WRITTEN, THE ONLY WAY THAN BEING A CLEAN RE INSTALLMENT OF WIN 10 OR TRY THE RCOVERY, YOU LIKE NEED TO MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE DOING THIS AS YOUR OTHER PROGRAMS MAY NOT WORK AGAIN UNTIL REINSTALLED. ALSO WOULD SUGGEST MAKING A RECOVER REPAIR DISC SHOULD SOMETHING GO WRONG,THAN YOU HAVE THE OPERATING SYTEM AND A WAY TO BOOT INTO WINDOWS, THAT ALL I CAN THINK OF, GOOD LUCK

      1. All CAPS! Don’t you realize that all caps comes across to the reader as if you are yelling at them? Sorry, a very poor post on your part! Are you new to any type of texting?

As I did as well, those updates deleted some files they thought was not needed to make sure of your good quality with windows 10….Although they are aware that they deleted Bluetooth cause it may have had “bad files” or a virus that could over ride your computer,as I say that is wrong, stupid, and retarded…..I cant help you cause there isn’t any way,i suggest you find a new computer…

  13. Glad to have read the comments here first…Windows 10 can go kick rocks! Sad truth is another way to steal more $$$ from people who depend on the services to work like they are supposed to! Why is it things only work a year or so after they are released to work correctly. why can they not fix the bugs before the release date?!!!! Same is true in gaming systems! i have come to learn waiting a year is a better choice than keeping up with the first one to haves!! GOOD LUCK all!
